xxWooden cookie board reproductions are everywhere. If you collect wooden molds of any type I am sure you have come across many of these cheap, machine-carved molds. I have seen them in antique malls, at auctions and even at some high-end antique shows. Look online and you will find these wooden repros being offered by online antique shops, by European and American wholesalers, and a search on eBay will yield many of these molds. As a collector of quality wooden cookie and cake boards, the wooden repro is the bane of my existence. But let's face it, they aren't going away anytime soon. There are companies in Germany and the Netherlands pumping these wooden repros out by the thousands. So collectors must educate themselves so that they can recognize these repros when they come across them. Take a look below at the pictures I have gathered of some obvious, and not so obvious wooden reproductions. Some you will have seen before, and maybe you have bought a few. For those of you who already own these repros, keep them and use them for making cookies, or better yet, use them underneath any appliances that need to be leveled. I will be adding more and more examples of these molds as I come across them, so please check back from time to time.
