xxCookie mold reproductions manufactured from metal are quite obvious even to the novice collector. There are not many of these in the United States, but they can be found in antique markets and malls. The most commonly found metal reproductions are two molds made by Virginia Metalcrafters. One is titled on the front of the mold "gingerbread man" (right) and the other mold has the design of a soldier (below right). These molds are clearly marked as reproductions and are designs from old cookie boards in the collection of Colonial Williamsburg.

There are several other metal reproduction cookie molds which have multiple designs (below). These are manufactured in Germany. Also, there are a number of newer metal springerle molds on the market which should not be confused for the older pewter springerle molds.
